Colored pencils school supply drive

Bill's Elves School Supply Drive 2014

Generations Federal Credit Union and Corner Store are excited to partner to once again with KENS 5 and Chief Meteorologist Bill Taylor to collect school supplies for the nearly 7,000 Bexar County children who are under the care of Child Protective Services.  Having new school supplies enables children to start the school year off on the right foot, feel equal to their peers, and set themselves up for success.  It also helps take the burden of the families, who receive little to no financial assistance from the State, who have stepped in to bring these children into their homes during a difficult time in their lives.

You can bring donations to any Generations Federal Credit Union branch beginning Wednesday, July 23 continuing through Saturday, August 9.  You can also make a donation with your credit card, and let us do the shopping for you by clicking on the PayPal link below.

Volunteers will also be collecting donations in front of the KENS 5 studios (located at 5400 Fredericksburg Road) every day beginning Monday, August 4 through Friday, August 8 during the 4, 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts.

Thank you for visiting Bill’s Elves!  The 2014 school supply collection drive has ended, but please check back in with us in December for the toy collection drive. On behalf of Generations, Corner Store, KENS 5 and the 7,000 children in the Child Protective Services program… THANK YOU!
